I Am Team Beachbody!

Happy Hump day!

So after a fabulous holiday, my weekend was a whirlwind of inspiration, motivation and people helping to make a good difference in the world by doing what they enjoy and love – Team Beachbody is officially open in the UK!🇬🇧

On 19th October at 10:30am, Beachbody opened its doors to the United Kingdom. What the arse does that mean, you say?

It means that from that day onward, it became possible for anyone wanting to help and inspire others to better their health, fitness and general life, to do so and in turn, do the same for themselves.

In other words, us Brits were finally able to become part of the Team Beachbody Network and start to pay it forward by helping people get started on their fitness and health journey and I am proud to announce that I am a Founding Team Beachbody UK Coach!


So, what does a Beachbody Coach do? As above! That’s it! Sounds so simple doesn’t it? Well, it is…but the side-effects are so profound! I myself have been on a personal journey the past couple of years. Having gotten into the best shape of my life using Beachbody Programmes (Insanity, FocusT25, 21 Day Fix Extreme) for my wedding in 2014, I used Beachbody on Demand to stay fit during and regain fitness after my first pregnancy. I am proof that these programmes work and I want to pay it forward by helping others, especially mummy’s regain their confidence and fitness just like I did.

Currently half-way through my second pregnancy, I am embarking upon that journey again. Only this time, I have the benefit and blessing of a group of kind, generous and motivated people surrounding me, cheering me on towards my goal – to have a healthy and safe pregnancy, smooth delivery and to get back my fitness the second time round postpartum. It’s now my turn, to be that support unit for others!

Not only did we have the epic Opening Day last week, I was lucky enough to bag a ticket to the official Team Beachbody UK Launch event in London on Saturday! I was able to join 800 other inspired individuals at the Hilton Park Lane for the morning as we were treated to over 2 hours of motivation, success stories and business advice from people who have for the past decade, helped millions of people across North America and Canada, change their lives for the better.

We were treated to talks from the CEO Carl Daikeler and his co-founders as well as hints, tips and words of wisdom from the UK Corporate Team and top US and Canadian Coaches.

Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the morning business session, one of my highlights of the entire day was getting to meet some of the people, the individuals who have inspired me over the last few years on my journey. For years, I have worked out ‘with’ some of these amazing people via the Insanity and Insanity Max:30 programmes and followed their journeys on social media. So to finally meet them in person here in London was a huge honour for me.

I was also blesssed to meet two amazing women whose journeys I have followed on Instagram – Flory and Somi, both of whom have inspiring stories and a dedication to their health and fitness that only makes me want to push harder with my own!


Following the business session, we were further treated to a taste of Shakeology – Beachbody’s incredible superfood-packed, nutrient dense supplement. I have always been skeptical of shakes, particularly since seeing a lot of friends and family try (and fail) losing weight using shakes. That is, until I first tried Shakeology. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some when a friend shipped a bag over from the States a few years ago.

Shakeology is not a weight-loss Shake. It is definitely much, much more than that. It is a daily dose of dense nutrition – everything your body needs to help it operate at its full capacity in one daily drink. It has numerous health benefits and more importantly it’s extremely versatile and can be used as either a snack, breakfast, meal replacement or an ingredient for baking or cooking!

I tried the Strawberry flavour first and drank it everyday for 30 days, until it ran out! I found that my energy levels increased, my workouts were more intense and I didn’t have cravings for sugary treats or salty foods. I then tried the Vegan Chocoate flavour and more recently the newest flavour Cafe Latte and can say that all three were delicious and filling! The highlight of the entire day for me was getting to workout with Shaun T himself during a 45 minute kick-your-arse workout alongside my fellow coaches and teammates. These individuals make me want to do better, get better and be better and I am excited to be a part of this team under the guidance of our mentor coaches Todd & Alisha Midget of NC Fit Club


So…last week was not only a whirlwind but it was also the start of a new venture, a new challenge, a new journey! I am excited to see what it will bring and how many I can reach and help begin to be the best version of themselves and live their best lives! You don’t have to know it all or have loved it all to help someone else – all you need to do is commit to your own journey, show up consistently and lead the way by being an example!
