So dumpling turned 10 months on Monday (24th) and has decided that he will mark this occasion by standing up by himself and trying to walk!
I thought babies didn’t walk until they were at least a year? I probably won’t need to workout anymore as I’ll stay fit running after him once he really gets going.
Anywho, good job I ordered his first pair of shoes a few weeks ago (although I will take him to Clarks to get measured soon) as he will soon need them.
But, a baby as cool as dumpling (he has a high top fade…seriously, he’s a baby version of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) can’t wear just any old shoe. So, why not have a pair of swede moccasins to strut about in?
I ordered this pair from Buffalo & Bear, a British company I stumbled across on, you guessed it, Instagram. All of their products are made with ecologically sourced material, made in England and free from any nasty chemicals. They have some pretty funky stuff from shoes to clothing to bedding and their packaging is quality too, which is handy if you want to buy something for a gift.
When I opened the packaging, immediately, I could tell that the shoes were top notch quality. The swede is lovely and soft and they are fitted with an elasticated band to allow for the shoes slip on easily.
When I tried them on dumpling, he had plenty of room for his little tootsies to breathe, both length ways and width wise. Not to mention that are just super cute. They’re not cheap by any means but, you get what you pay for, right?

I’m so impressed by the quality of these shoes that I’m already browsing their site for another order. I will also be ordering something for my friend, (who’s expecting her first little one in September) as soon as I know the gender.
I would definitely recommend Buffalo & Bear if you’re looking for something unique and environmentally friendly for your little ones.
On an entirely different note, I really need to limit my time on Instagram since, I keep finding these baby boutiques and ordering things for dumpling! Instagram is going to bankrupt me!!
Disclaimer: this post is not sponsored by or in any way affiliated with Buffalo & Bear, I just really like their moccasins and so thought I’d share 😉 (that rhymes!)
